Dell has made a significant entry into the Copilot Plus laptop market in India by partnering with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch new consumer Copilot+ AI PCs. The new lineup includes the XPS 13 and the Inspiron 14 Plus, both powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, respectively. These laptops are packed with AI features such as co-creator, live captioning, and Windows Studio effects, designed to enhance user experience.
This collaboration marks Qualcomm’s first foray into Dell computers and laptops, introducing their cutting-edge technology to a new range of devices. The XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus boast all-day battery life, ensuring users can search, create, and work without interruption. Both models are equipped with the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, which handles local AI processing, and the Copilot+ function, aimed at boosting performance, productivity, efficiency, and ease of use.
In terms of pricing, the Dell XPS 13 is available in three variants, ranging from Rs 1,39,990 to Rs 1,69,990. Meanwhile, the Inspiron 14 Plus comes in two models, with prices starting at Rs 1,15,590 and going up to Rs 1,19,590.
The XPS 13, powered by the Snapdragon X1 EliteX1E-80-100 CPU, promises exceptional performance and efficiency. It incorporates the Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU, which ensure smooth graphics performance while minimizing heat emissions and noise. One of its standout features is its impressive battery life, lasting up to 27 hours on a single charge, including continuous streaming on its FHD+ display. Additionally, an OLED display option is available, offering better brightness and reduced battery consumption, extending active time by over 10 percent compared to previous OLED generations.
On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is driven by the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 CPU, delivering versatile performance. It features a QHD+ display and can support up to 21 hours of local video playback or 15 hours of streaming 4K content on a single charge. This model is also equipped with two microphones that facilitate effective audio recording through voice commands. Enhanced security is provided by Qualcomm’s Always-On Sensing technology and presence detection, which enable secure logins and protect screen content from unauthorized viewers.
