Redmi, a Xiaomi subsidiary, announced the Redmi 13 smartphone, which is targeted at the Malaysian market. This entry-level gadget has a dual camera arrangement led by a 108MP primary sensor, among other capabilities, and is powered by a MediaTek CPU.
The Redmi 13 has a 6.79-inch display that has Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The phone itself has an IP53 certification for water and dust resistance, a loudspeaker, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Its MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra chipset powers it, along with 256GB of storage (which can be expanded to 1TB via microSD) and 8GB of RAM (which can be expanded to 16GB via virtual memory). With a suitable charger, the Redmi 13’s 5,030mAh battery is expected to be able to achieve a 100% charge in just 62 minutes thanks to 33W fast charging. The phone also has support for dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and up to 4G connectivity.
With a 108MP primary camera and a 2MP macro included on its back, the Redmi 13 has two cameras for imaging. A 13MP selfie camera is located in the punch-hole cutout on the front of the device.
At RM699, the all-new Redmi 13 will go on sale on June 14, 2024, and come in four colorways: Midnight Black, Sandy Gold, Pearl Pink, and Ocean Blue.
