A new tool that WhatsApp is testing to make chat management easier for users is now being tested. Users will be able to easily mark all unread messages as read with the upcoming “Mark all as read” option, which will make it simpler to handle notifications and concentrate on crucial conversations.

Enhancing Chat Management with a New Feature

Users of WhatsApp currently frequently get inundated with notifications for unread messages. Unread messages accumulate with every new message or notice, which can be stressful, particularly when managing significant connections and ongoing group discussions.

WhatsApp is working on a “Mark all as read” functionality to solve this problem. Instead of needing to individually mark each chat as read or mute, users will be able to utilise this tool to erase all unread notifications in one go.

How It Works

Within the hamburger menu, the new feature will be easily situated directly above the Settings access button. Users will be able to more effectively manage their message notifications with the aid of this little but important change.

Present Procedure: It can take a while for users to either mark each chat as read individually or silence notifications for many talks.

New feature: Users can quickly delete all unread messages by using the “Mark all as read” checkbox. This helps users concentrate on messages that actually need to be read, cutting down on clutter.

Availability and Testing

The functionality is still in development and has not yet been made available to beta testers or the general public. The functionality has not yet been added to the beta version, despite WABetaInfo’s glimpse of it. Android users who want to be the first to test out new features may be able to do so by updating to version 2.24.18.11.
