The third electric vehicle to enter the Indian market is about to be introduced by JSW MG Motor India, and the company revealed on Thursday that the new model would be known as the MG Windsor EV. Essentially, the Windsor EV is the Cloud EV, which is offered in Indonesia and other international markets under the Wuling name. The vehicle, which combines the roominess of an SUV with the comforts of a sedan, is categorised as a CUV. The upcoming JSW MG Motor India car, the Revolt RV400 electric bike, has an official name: Windsor EV. Financing offers for the vehicle are available for July.

The Windsor EV may be placed in between the company’s current two electric car models, the Comet EV and the ZS EV, which are both now offered in India. The car has a crossover design with a compact headlight unit that angularizes the front fascia and two charging inlets. It is anticipated that the MG Windsor EV will debut during the holidays shortly.

1. Largest in-segment infotainment

The enormous 15.6-inch primary infotainment display from the Wuling Cloud EV is anticipated to be carried over to the MG Windsor EV. Should that happen, it will become the biggest media control panel in the Windsor area. Because of the large display size, it would have been almost unnecessary to have physical buttons on the dashboard or centre console; therefore, MG made sure that the centre console is button-free. With all of the functions found on a typical automobile’s centre console, the display gives you total control over how the car operates. In addition to offering controls for headlights, HVAC, ORVMs, and other devices, it enables wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

2. Expansive

inside JSW MG Motor India is positioning the Windsor EV as a crossover utility vehicle (CUV) that seeks to fuse the roominess of an SUV with the opulent comfort of a sedan. To that end, the Cloud EV boasts a number of impressive features that are anticipated to be carried over to the Indian edition. The Windsor’s sofa seats are covered in synthetic leather in the shape of bubbles. The front row elevates the inside game with a 135 degree recline, while the rear seats may recline backwards for a comfortable passenger experience. The automobile also has a large boot and plenty of storage space inside the cabin. When the back seats are folded flat, up to 1,707 litres of additional boot space become available. The interior of the cabin is smooth to the touch and has mahogany panels and rose gold accents.

3. 50.6 kWh battery power system

A 50.6 kWh lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery pack that powers the Wuling Cloud is anticipated to be installed in the Windsor EV. The Cloud EV’s power unit offers 460 km of range on a single charge, however motor configurations may vary before the vehicle is released. It takes less than seven hours to fully charge, but with the DC fast charger, it just takes thirty minutes to go from thirty percent to one hundred percent. The front wheels receive the 134 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque produced by the motor.

4. ADAS and safety

JSW MG Motor India will introduce its second EV with ADAS capabilities, the Windsor EV. Adaptive Cruise Control, automated emergency braking, front collision warning, and lane departure warning are just a few of the capabilities offered by the Windsor’s ADAS. In addition, the vehicle has ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, and four airbags. In addition, the vehicle has ISOFIX mounts for kid seats, hill hold control, and parking assistance. TPMs are further stored on the driver’s digital instrument.
