Thunderstorm Titans Crowned The First Cue Sports Premier League Champions

The first Cue Sports Premier League 2024, hosted by Bengaluru’s Bowring Institute, was won by the Thunderstorm Titans. R Santosh’s Thunderstorm Titans defeated Sourav Kothari’s Summer Tuskers 4-1 in seven games. Top actress Ragini Dwivedi, Mr. H S Srikanth, Secretary of Bowring, and other dignitaries witnessed the trophy being given to the winners by Rajesh Bajaj, Director of Embassy Group, and Raghavendra Y R, Chairman of Billiards – Bowring Institute.

Manan Chandra of Thunderstorm Titans defeated Sourav Kothari of Summer Tuskers in the opening Snooker Singles match of the final, giving Thunderstorm Titans an early lead. Snooker doubles comprised the second, third, and fourth final matches. Titans defeated Tuskers in the first and second doubles, while Tuskers prevailed in the third doubles.

Thirteen-time national champion Manan Chandra captured all the attention in the finals as he demonstrated incredible concentration and perseverance to grind out a hotly contested long-drawn match that ultimately sealed the win for the Titans. In the fifth frame, R Santosh, the captain of the Titans, defeated D Rajkumar on the black ball to take the championship. Manan Chandra was selected as the competition’s best player. Daivik Bansi emerged as the league’s most improved player, Brijesh Damani had the league’s highest break, and Sri Hari and Kushal were the league’s best duo.
