Via Tudum, Netflix recently provided a summary of the hip films that are now dominating its Summer 2024 lineup. They must confess a particular interest in the latter, even though the schedule features everything from gripping thrillers and thrilling action pictures to lively comedies and fantastic animated films for your whole family!
Interestingly, it appears that the highly anticipated SpongeBob adventure Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie has set a release date, with an August 2 premiere on the streaming service.
The new film is written and directed by Emmy winner Kaz (Camp Lazlo!, Phineas and Ferb), a SpongeBob SquarePants staff writer and creator of spinoffs Kamp Koral and The Patrick Star Show. Liza Johnson, a veteran of television, is the director of the animation in her first feature film.
Alongside SpongeBob SquarePants co-stars Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Bill Fagerbakke, Mr. Lawrence, and Rodger Bumpass, Carolyn Lawrence returns to her role as Sandy Cheeks after 25 years. The Sandy Cheeks Movie also features the voices of Wanda Sykes, Johnny Knoxville, Craig Robinson, Grey DeLisle, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, and Matty Cardarople.
