The Romantics, a Netflix original series that examines the iconic films produced by Yash and Aditya Chopra and looks back at the history of Yash Raj Films (YRF), debuted today. It also discusses the early 1990s and specifically brings up Sooraj Barjatya’s beloved and successful blockbuster movie Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994). Sooraj Bajratya, who is modest, discusses his opinions of Aditya and the reasons he admires him.

To begin, Sooraj Bajatya said, “My first recollection of Adi is unquestionably from the Maine Pyar Kiya movie premiere (1989). Being just 17 years old, he was a rather shy young man who stood outside the theatre. Nothing more than a grin could be seen on his face! I was unaware that he was Yash ji’s son at the time.” Sooraj Barjatya made his directorial debut with Maine Pyar Kiya, which starred Salman Khan and Bhagyashree.
