The top Find X8 series smartphones from Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO will go on sale in international regions on November 21. To introduce the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, the business will hold an in-person event in Bali, Indonesia. India is anticipated to have access to the smartphones after their worldwide release.

For smartphones that qualify, OPPO will also unveil the worldwide version of its ColorOS 15 user interface, which is based on Android 15. The Find X8 series with this user interface were first shown in China.

OPPO Find X8 series: What to expect

The specifications of the worldwide edition of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro smartphones have been made public by OPPO in conjunction with the launch announcement. A slim periscope zoom camera is included into the streamlined design of the base Find X8 model, which weighs 193g and has a thickness of 7.85mm. It has a 6.59-inch screen with symmetrical, thin bezels. The Find X8 will have a diffuse coating that resists fingerprints and come in two colours: Star Grey and Space Black.

On the other hand, the OPPO Find X8 Pro has a 6.78-inch screen with front and rear quad-curved glass. Additionally, the company’s first dual-periscope telephoto camera for international markets will be unveiled. Both Space Black and Pearl White will be available for the Pro model; the Pearl White model will have a distinctive iridescent design.

The camera mechanism on both models was developed in collaboration with the Swedish eyewear company Hasselblad. Furthermore, OPPO has included cutting-edge technologies like AI Telescope Zoom technology, which enables users to zoom in greater than 10x through software optimisation. Larger silicon-carbon batteries power both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro; the Pro model has a 5910mAh battery, while the Find X8 has a 5630mAh battery.

OPPO ColorOS 15: What’s new

OPPO’s ColorOS 15, which was released in China last month, features a revamped lock screen with 3D effects, improved transitions, and new animations. One particularly noteworthy feature is the “Direct Fluid Cloud” bar, which resembles Apple’s Dynamic Island and extends from the camera cutout to provide important data like a recording or timer.

OPPO’s new virtual assistant, “Super Xiaobu,” is also included in the upgrade. It has a glowing border, system-level interactions, and a user interface akin to Siri. AI-powered features include tools to improve image resolution, eliminate blur, and fix reflections, as well as Google’s Circle to Search-like “One Circle Question” for queries and “Photo Q&A” for visual searches. Productivity is increased with AI technologies like AI Voice Summary and AI Notes.

Additionally, ColorOS 15 brings improved split-screen multitasking, a new Quick Settings, and a file-sharing tool akin to AirDrop.

It is anticipated that the ColorOS 15 UI would closely resemble the Chinese version worldwide.
