Chery introduced the Jetour Shanhai T2 all-wheel-drive PHEV on October 21. The four-wheel-drive mountain variant, which cost 224,900 yuan (31,650 USD), was the sole model offered at first.

Since April, the two-wheel-drive Jetour Shanhai T2 has been on the market. The Jetour Shanhai T2 is essentially a PHEV variant of the Jetour Traveller.

With a stated fuel consumption of 6.78L/100km, the car’s comprehensive range is 1300km, while its pure electric range is 206km. With its electronically controlled tooth-embedded rear axle differential lock that supports creep mode, tank turn, hill start aid, and hill descent control, the Jetour Shanhai T2 can wade 700 mm. Additionally, it features seven+X intelligent driving modes: standard, sports, mud, sand, rock, snow, economy, and X. It asserts that the last mode will automatically detect the state of the road and change to the best driving mode.

Black cladding surrounds the car’s bottom, and AT off-road tires are included with the 4-wheel drive. The minimal ground clearance is 201 mm, and the approach and departure angles are 28 and 30 degrees, respectively. The Jetour Shanhai T2 is a mid-sized SUV with dimensions of 4785, 2006, and 1875 mm (l/w/h) with a wheelbase of 2800 mm. 2376 kg is the curb weight. The rear suspension is multi-link independent, and the front suspension is a MacPherson strut.

The T2’s all-wheel drive variant features a two-tone colour scheme and maintains the 2WD model’s overall appearance. Both a 10.25-inch instrument screen and a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen are available. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 CPU, which powers the car’s systems, offers a transparent chassis view, a number of apps, remote automobile control, panoramic photography, and intelligent voice control.

An eight-speaker music system, a fragrance dispenser, and a panoramic roof are among the in-car amenities. The front seats can be massaged, heated, and ventilated. The back tailboard, which opens to the passenger side, has a storage box installed on it. The automobile is only available as a 5-seater; it has a 580-liter trunk and seats that split 60:40.

The vehicle is powered by Chery’s well-known Kunpeng PHEV power system. A 1.5TGDI engine with 115 kW of power and 220 Nm of torque is the foundation of this system. A 175 kW electric motor is added to the rear axle of the 4WD version of the Jetour Shanhai T2, whereas the 2WD variant only has a 165 kW motor on the front axle. The system has a maximum torque of 920 Nm and a total power of 455 kW. A 3-speed DHT hybrid gearbox powers the vehicle.

A lithium iron phosphate battery with a 43.24 kWh capacity is available. A 6.6 kW external discharge is supported.
