Hyundai plans to increase the number of electric vehicles in its lineup by introducing the Creta Electric SUV in India. This all-electric model, which is based on the well-known Creta nameplate, is aimed at the expanding EV market. Potential customers are excited when Hyundai unveiled a teaser for the new Creta EV. It will slot beneath the Ioniq 5 as Hyundai’s most reasonably priced electric car in India. It seeks to draw in a wide audience and grow its market share in the cutthroat EV market with an anticipated price range of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will face competition from the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, and MG ZS EV. On January 17, Hyundai will introduce the electric Creta at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Creta Electric hopes to increase Hyundai’s market share in the EV market and meet the rising demand for electric vehicles in India by offering competitive pricing and cutting-edge features.
Hyundai Creta EV: Design and Features
The Hyundai Creta EV’s most recent teaser shows that the electric SUV and its internal combustion engine (ICE) sibling have similar headlamp and taillight configurations. Updated bumpers with active air flaps, a closed grille, and 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels make the Creta EV stand out. The instrument cluster and infotainment system of the Hyundai Creta Electric are housed in a twin-screen arrangement with new software and other features.
For convenience, the electric Creta still uses physical controls; the Hyundai Alcazar provides the HVAC controls. For a distinctive driving experience, it also adds a three-spoke steering wheel, a revised centre console, and a drive selector controller.
The Hyundai Creta Electric is anticipated to have important safety features such a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain
There will be two battery capacities available for the Creta EV: 51.4kWh and 42kWh. 136 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque are probably what a front-mounted motor will produce.
The electric SUV will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and have a range of up to 473 km with the 51.4kWh battery pack and 390 km with the 42kWh version. It is also probably going to offer quick charging, which will make it more useful for daily use.
