The all-electric BYD eMAX 7 is now available in two trim levels: Superior and Premium. The BYD e6 is replaced by this new model, which has major improvements in terms of design, functionality, and performance. The base Premium six-seater version of the eMAX 7 costs ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the seven-seater model costs ₹27.50 lakh. The seven-seater version of the Superior trim level costs ₹29.90 lakh, while the base price is ₹29.30 lakh.

The “e” in eMAX 7 symbolises an all-electric drivetrain, while “MAX” signifies upgrades in range, performance, and features compared to the e6. The “7” denotes the subsequent model in BYD’s electric MPV range, signifying a progression in terms of both technology and design.

Exterior and Design Updates

Sharper lines and a more sophisticated appearance distinguish the eMAX 7 from the e6, which also features BYD’s “dragon face” design language. It includes redesigned LED headlights joined by a single chrome strip, sharp air vents, and newly styled 18-inch alloy wheels. Connected LED tail lights on the back of the car add to its sleek, contemporary appearance.

Battery and Performance

There are two battery options for the MPV. With a 55.4kWh battery that generates 161bhp and 310Nm of torque, the entry-level Premium model is said to have a 420km range. With a longer range of 530 km and a larger 71.8kWh battery, the Superior model produces 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque.

Features and Interior

The eMAX 7 has several improvements over the e6, such as a redesigned dashboard and a new 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment screen. It still has an analogue instrument cluster in spite of these recent upgrades. There are two seating arrangements available for the car: six seats and seven seats. The six-seater version has captain chairs in the second row. A panoramic glass roof, two wireless phone chargers, and ventilated front seats are among the extra features. It is also possible for the vehicle to power external equipment because it offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities.

Safety

The eMAX 7 is anticipated to have six airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), though it is unknown the level of ADAS would be included. The BYD eMAX 7 is positioned as a competitor to hybrid vehicles such as the Maruti Suzuki Invicto and the Toyota Innova Hycross.
