Spoilers for Charity Lawson’s upcoming season of “The Bachelorette” are included in this article.
Sean McLaughlin, the son of Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, will begin his search for love on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” at 9 p.m. on Monday.
One of the 25 men chosen to appear on the show with Charity Lawson, a child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, this season, is the 26-year-old now living in Tampa, Florida. This is the twentieth season of “The Bachelorette.”
The show airs every Monday on ABC and streams on Hulu for about two months during the season. According to Reality Steve, a frequent source of Bachelor/Bachelorette spoilers, McLaughlin advanced all the way to the top six in the season before being eliminated just before the men bring Lawson to their hometowns for dates. Sadly, this indicates that she did not have dinner, drinks, or lunch with the executive of Rensselaer County.
In March, Reality Steve reported that McLaughlin would win a “Barbie Sing-Off” in the July 10 episode, earning him much-coveted time alone with Lawson.
Sean McLaughlin is a software salesman who recently purchased a home and has an Instagram account for his French bulldog. In a profile on him on the website of ABC, he is said to have stated, “I’m just looking for the girl of my dreams to share my life with.” “Fun facts” about McLaughlin are also noted on the website: According to the report, he “takes pride in his great head of hair,” likes to dip his chocolate chip cookies in whole milk, and admits that he is a terrible texter.
However, despite the fact that Sean McLaughlin did not appear to win Lawson’s affection, it appears that there will be more of him for viewers after “The Bachelorette” is over. Reality Steve stated that McLaughlin may have been prompted to attend the spinoff “Bachelor in Paradise,” which tapes at a Mexican outdoor resort every summer. That show pits contestants from “The Bachelorette” and “The Bachelor” against one another to see if they can fall in love.
It’s not clear how McLaughlin does on that show. However, his Instagram stories showed that he was traveling last week to a more tropical location, but that on Saturday he was back on the East Coast in Manhattan.
When reached on Sunday, McLaughlin was cordial but refused to comment, directing any inquiries to a spokesperson for the network.
Some contestants turn their reality television fame into other opportunities to appear on other reality shows or use it to get paid to promote online products as an influencer.
