Suraj Chavan triumphed as the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5 in the grand finale, which took place on Sunday evening. As reported by Money Control, Suraj walked away with a trophy, a substantial cash prize of ₹14.6 lakh, a jewellery voucher worth ₹10 lakh, and a two-wheeler. Abhijeet Sawant claimed the position of the first runner-up in the popular reality show.
The top contenders also featured Nikki Tamboli, Dhananjay Powar, and Ankita Walawalkar, who secured third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively. In an unexpected turn of events, Janhavi Killekar was evicted during the finale. She opted to exit the competition after accepting a cash prize of ₹9 lakh. The entire season was hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and aired on Colors Marathi.
Following the finale, Riteish took to Instagram to celebrate the winners, posting pictures with both the champion and the runner-up. One image showed Suraj proudly holding his trophy beside Riteish, while another featured Abhijeet joining them. He credited both the contestants and the production team for making the season so engaging and successful, stating, “This season has been wonderful, and we have successfully managed to attract a new and diverse audience.” Riteish also touched on the affection he receives from fans, who have begun calling him the “Bhau of the nation.” He recalled that it was Salman Khan who first referred to him as “Bhau,” which is why he continues to affectionately call Salman “Salman bhai” in return, a title he holds in high regard.
