The official release date of the highly anticipated Stree sequel, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is August 15, the day of India’s independence.

Amar Kaushik is the film’s director, and Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios are its producers.

‘Stree 2’ to compete with ‘Pushpa 2,’ ‘Khel Khel Mein’

Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, was originally slated for release on August 15, but it was rescheduled for Diwali to make room for the Independence Day release of Stree 2.

Due to this modification, Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, will now compete with Stree 2 at the box office.

It will also have competition from Khel Khel Mein, which stars Akshay Kumar, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Vaani Kapoor among its star-studded cast.

‘Stree 2’ teasers approved by CBFC, awaited by fans

Fans are eagerly awaiting Stree 2 in the wake of the huge success of its predecessor.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the two teasers for the movie that are presently playing in theatres.

The second commercial lasts one minute and six seconds, while the first teaser lasts one minute and twenty-three seconds.

A U/A certificate has been issued for both teasers.

Uncertainty surrounds ‘Pushpa 2’s release date

The makers of Pushpa 2 have not released an official statement, despite speculation that the movie may also be delayed.

This year’s Independence Day matchup also includes John Abraham and Sharvari’s Vedaa.

Singham will compete once more during Diwali against the Kartik Aaryan-led Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
