Under the automaker’s “India 2.5” brand, the Skoda Kylaq will be a completely new offering in India. Early in 2025, this tiny SUV is expected to be released in India. The name of Skoda’s subcompact SUV was unveiled in August, and the Czech manufacturer has now officially announced that the Kylaq will go on sale worldwide on November 6, 2024.

Kushaq Inspired Design

The Skoda Kylaq, while being a sub-4 metre SUV, will incorporate numerous design elements from its bigger sibling, the Kushaq. There have been a few teasers and spy pictures that suggest the grille and side window line will be similar to the Kushaq.

Interior And Expected Features

The sub-4-meter SUV from Skoda may have a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a two-spoke steering wheel.

A single-pane sunroof, automatic air conditioning, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and an 8-inch completely digital driver’s display are also anticipated features for the Kylaq. Six airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), a rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors are probably among its safety features.

Expected Powertrain

The Kylaq subcompact SUV from Skoda is limited to a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine with 115 PS and 178 Nm of power. This engine is available with a 6-speed torque converter or a 6-speed manual gearbox in the Slavia and Kushaq models.

Expected Price & Rivals

Prices for the Skoda Kylaq are anticipated to start at Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with sub-4 million dollar crossovers such as the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, as well as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
