Some artists come along once in a blue moon to effect the lives of many. They seek to inspire, enlighten, and move people in a way that sets fire to the soul, lighting the world with hope and love. That artist is Scott Rocco and his debut album “Ignited” fills the void of heartfelt music that has been missing from our lives for decades.
No stranger to the arts, Rocco has been creating long since he was a kid drawing, painting, writing, singing, and acting. A hyphenate who as a teenager, became an exceptional athlete as a star football and baseball player for his high school. Now he approaches his art like the athlete he’s remained, putting blood, sweat, and tears into his first full-length album – Ignited.
Rocco says Ignited can be described as, “a concept album that follows a man on a journey of self-discovery with someone special who becomes his torch of love lighting the whole way there. It was inspired by my past relationship, and I wanted people to see how much I’ve grown not only as an artist, but as a person championing hope and love. Even though my relationship ended, as you will learn through listening to the record, there is every reason to carry that love with you and amplify it with whomever and whatever you do next. Love is eternal.”
From the country driven opening track of “Austin” to the ignition of the heart echoed in “Ignited,” all the way to the warmly farewell of “Wish You Well,” it’s no wonder why Rocco wears his heart on his sleeve lighting the world up through his compelling debut album. His songs speak to the underdog in us all to help overcome insecurity, doubt, and fear. They are anthems to ignite the greatest parts of ourselves that we have yet to discover.
“I want my songs to spread love throughout the world. My album ‘Ignited’ is meant to serve as a catharsis for people. It’s a beacon of hope and light that love is here to stay. It exists within all of us, and it has no barriers of time and space. Love is why we exist, and it will be so forever.”
