A newer version of Samsung’s Clock app, part of the upcoming One UI 7 update slated for release in 2025, has surfaced online. This leak follows a series of One UI 7 app leaks that emerged in late November, offering insights into the changes and features coming to Galaxy devices.

The initial leak of the One UI 7 Clock app back in July revealed mostly visual updates compared to its predecessor in One UI 6. However, the latest version that has now become available for download introduces functional enhancements aimed at improving alarm management.

Two notable features stand out in this update. First, there’s a universal volume control that simplifies alarm volume settings by allowing users to adjust all alarms with a single slider. This feature is activated by default. For those who prefer setting individual volumes for each alarm, the app provides an alternative option in the Volume menu under Settings.

The second feature, alarm groups, lets users bundle multiple alarms together, enabling them to be toggled on or off simultaneously. While this addition is practical, the current implementation has some limitations. Adding existing alarms to a group isn’t supported yet, requiring users to create new alarms within the group’s settings. These issues may stem from the app being an unfinished version, or because it’s running on devices with One UI 6 instead of the software it’s designed for, One UI 7. This could also explain the crashes reported when attempting to change alarm backgrounds.

Visually, the updated app includes redesigned home screen widgets, altered fonts for numbers and text, and changes to preloaded alarm backgrounds. Each tab within the app, such as Clock, World Clock, Timer, and Stopwatch, now features an accompanying icon. Even the app’s icon has undergone a revamp, further refining its appearance.

For those interested in testing the leaked version, it can be manually installed via Samsung’s My Files app after downloading. If issues arise during installation, uninstalling the current Clock app and disabling the Auto Blocker feature in the Security and Privacy settings may resolve them. Users wishing to revert to the One UI 6 version can reinstall it through the Galaxy Store or Play Store after removing the new version.
