After suffering three losses in their first five Champions League games of the season, Real Madrid needed to defeat Atalanta, and they succeeded in doing so after defeating them 3-2 in Bergamo.

The first goal was awarded to the visitors for their quick start. The chance was created superbly by Kylian Mbappe, who buried it from just inside the penalty area. However, he was forced to leave shortly after due to a suspected muscular injury, thus his evening came to an early stop.

Despite being dominant in the second half to force a 3-1 lead, Real Madrid’s situation worsened after Charles de Ketelaere scored the equaliser in the last seconds of the first half. Vinicius Junior scored first after catching a lucky through pass, and Jude Bellingham then carried on with his strong play.

Even though Ademola Lookman scored another goal for Atalanta, the Serie A team ultimately failed. Real Madrid will treasure this significant outcome, and their prospects of making it to the knockout stages have increased significantly.
