Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Displays in the Xiaomi 15 Series: Check Specifications

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip powers the upcoming flagship smartphones from China’s Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 15 series. A basic Xiaomi 15 smartphone and a Pro variant are part of the new flagship series, which is now only available in the company’s native market. Xiaomi also revealed that these phones will come pre-installed with the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 UI, which is based on Android 15.

Xiaomi 15 series: Details

A 6.36-inch flat OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 3200 nits is a feature of the standard Xiaomi 15 smartphone. The Pro variant boasts a bigger 6.73-inch micro-curved OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and 2K resolution.

Xiaomi and Leica are still working together to give both smartphones a triple camera system for photography. A 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP primary camera sensor are features shared by the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. The Pro model has a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscopic lens with 5x zoom, while the basic model has a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.2x zoom.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip powers both, making them the first smartphones in the world to use Qualcomm’s newest technology. Up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage are available for both devices. In contrast to the basic model’s 5400mAh battery, the Xiaomi 15 Pro has a larger 6100mAh battery.
