Pre-wedding celebrations begin for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Gujarat: Here’s what you need to know

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, have begun their pre-wedding celebrations. It is expected that the couple would marry the knot later this year.

The inaugural “Lagan Lakhvanu” event was held at the Ambani family’s estate in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Friday.

In order to obtain blessings for their upcoming union, the couple creates the first formal wedding invitation, known as kankotri, during this ceremony.

Anamika Khanna’s Outfit for Radhika Merchant:

The future bride, Radhika Merchant, wore a lehenga that Anamika Khanna had fashioned especially for her during the Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony. The beautifully designed ensemble showcased flower designs complemented by a variety of sequin accents. A bracelet, a maangtikka, and a three-tiered diamond necklace set completed her ensemble. Artist Loveleen Ramchandani posted pictures of Ms. Merchant to her Instagram account.

About Anant Ambani:

Anant Ambani, who was born in 1995, is currently in charge of Reliance Industries Ltd.’s energy division, a significant area of the Ambani family’s financial portfolio. He and his mother Nita Ambani are instrumental in leading the Mumbai Indians, an Indian Premier League (IPL) team that is owned by the Ambani family.

After more than two years as a director at Jio Platforms, Anant Ambani recently took over as director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) in 2022.

About Radhika Merchant:

Radhika Merchant was born in 1994. Her father, Viren Merchant, is the CEO of Encore Healthcare, a reputable pharmaceutical company. Ms. Merchant attended prestigious educational establishments in Mumbai, including John Connon School, The Cathedral, and Ecole Mondiale World School.

After pursuing an International Baccalaureate diploma at BD Somani International School, she graduated in 2017 with a concentration in politics and economics from New York University. Her career started with an internship at Desai & Diwanji, a consulting firm. Later, she worked as a junior sales manager for Mumbai-based real estate company Isprava. Currently, she is a director at Encore Healthcare.

After their roka ceremony in December 2022, Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani got engaged at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The celebration of the engagement took place in Antilia, Ambani’s home, in January 2023.
