To improve smartphone performance and battery life, OnePlus is introducing a new smartphone battery technology called “Glacier Battery.” On June 20, the new technology—which was created in association with Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL)—will be made public. It is said that the technology will do away with the requirement for power banks. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, the first smartphone to use the new Glacier Battery, is anticipated to be released soon by the Chinese tech company. The forthcoming phone may have a 6,100mAh battery.
Built in collaboration with CATL, this next-generation battery technology is intended for Ace smartphones.
Furthermore, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to be the first device to utilise OnePlus’s Glacier Battery technology, according to Chinese source Digital Chat Station. Although a release date is unknown, the phone is expected to include a sizable 6,100mAh battery that supports 100W charging. With the help of this rapid charging technology, the battery should fully charge in less than 30 minutes.
The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro could maintain a thin profile with a thickness of “8mm” in spite of the higher battery size. The tipster specifies that the new battery technology will be included in OnePlus smartphones in the future.
OnePlus Ace 3 Pro specifications (expected)
The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to launch officially in the third quarter of this year, according to prior leaks. It is anticipated to feature a curved edge screen with a punch cutout for the selfie shooter positioned in the centre. It is rumoured to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution 8T LTPO screen. It could have a glass body with a metal central frame.
It is anticipated that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro would include three back cameras: a two-megapixel, an 8-megapixel, and a 50-megapixel main sensor.
