Nissan has finally unveiled the complete India-spec X-Trail. Relying on the CMF-C platform, which Nissan and Renault co-developed, the fourth-generation X-Trail debuted globally in 2022. Later this month, the X-Trail’s prices are anticipated to be revealed. The X-Trail is expected to cost more than its competitors when it arrives in India as a fully imported model through the CBU method.

Nissan X-Trail: Design, dimensions, colour options

The India-spec X-Trail has an abundance of bling up front and a trademark V-motion reverse trapezoidal grille, just like its international sibling. Nissan has opted for a slightly boxier shape in place of the third-generation model’s curved appearance. It has split LED illumination up front with stylish inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, and it has L-shaped LED taillamps on the back.

Additional striking features are the shark-fin antenna, dual-tone alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer integrated spoiler with a top-mounted stop lamp, door claddings, and 20-inch multispoke alloy wheels. The X-Trail will come in three colour options—Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Solid White—for purchase in India.

The India-spec X-Trail’s measurements are as follows: it is 4,680mm long, 1,840mm wide, 1,725mm tall, and has a wheelbase that is 2,705mm long. The seven-seater SUV has 210mm of ground clearance and a turning radius of 5.5 metres.

The India-spec X-Trail will only be offered in seven-seater configuration. Enormous features include a fully digital instrument cluster, a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, drive modes, automatic wipers, an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, cup holders in the centre console, and wireless smartphone charging.

Nissan X-Trail: Powertrain specs

The India-specific Only a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine coupled to a 12V mild hybrid system will be available for the Nissan X-Trail. This engine produced a maximum torque of 300 Nm and 161 horsepower. An automatic CVT gearbox performs shift-by-wire duties for the gearbox. With the help of a limited-slip differential, an AWD system may provide power to all four wheels for off-roading.

Nissan X-Trail: Expected price & rivals

Since the X-Trail would be a CBU, they anticipate Nissan charging between Rs 40 and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom) for it. It will compete with high-end SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq when it launches.
