- The Sonet gets a new turbo-petrol variant under the Rs. 10 lakh price bracket

Three new Sonet models have been formally introduced by Kia India, with prices starting at Rs. 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker has now verified a new HTK turbo-petrol version in addition to the new GTX option for the sub-four-meter SUV, as they had previously reported.
This version of the Seltos, which begins with the GTX model, comes equipped with an auto up/down safety window function, paddle shifters, leatherette seats, drive and traction control settings, and ventilated front seats.
A new HTK edition of the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol trim is now offered for Rs. 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Only the front wheels receive power from this 118bhp, 172Nm motor, which is connected to a six-speed iMT gearbox.
Notably, modest feature changes have been made to all Sonet versions, including the HTE, HTE (O), and HTK, which now have Isofix child seat anchorage points. The HTK (O) version also receives a rear wiper and washer in addition to the latter.
The Kia Sonet HTK+ is the next model to be discussed; it has LED headlights, a rear wiper and washer, and Isofix child seat anchorage points. This Tata Nexon rival’s HTX version now comes equipped with a wireless phone charger, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a rear wiper and washer.
A 1.5-liter diesel mill, a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol motor, and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine are available for the Sonet. Six-speed manual, five-speed manual, six-speed iMT, six-speed torque converter automatic, and seven-speed DCT are the available gearbox options.
