A new version of Maruti Suzuki’s well-liked luxury hatchback, the Baleno, has been formally introduced to the market. This new edition is referred to as the “Regal Edition” by Maruti. Maruti is getting ready for the holiday season with this Regal Edition. All four of the Baleno’s variations are included in the Regal Edition. One of the most well-liked luxury hatchbacks in its class, the Maruti Baleno rivals vehicles such as the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20.
The Alpha, Zeta, Delta, and Sigma versions of the Baleno are available with the Regal Edition. In essence, the Regal Edition is the normal Baleno hatchback with additional accessories. Depending on the model, a free accessory kit valued at Rs 45,829 to Rs 60,199 is included.
A front grille garnish, a front underbody spoiler, a fog lamp garnish, a rear underbody spoiler, a back door garnish, body side moulding, and door visors are among the cosmetic exterior modifications made to the Maruti Baleno.
New seat coverings, window curtains, an interior styling kit, and all-weather mats are installed inside the Regal Edition Baleno. Additionally, door sill shields are included with the hatchback.
With the Baleno Regal Edition, Maruti is giving away these items, which are valued at the specified sum. Dealerships provide customers the option to purchase these extras independently, however in such scenario, the cost of the equipment and installation fees would be different.
The Maruti Baleno is a high-end hatchback with a respectable amount of features. A few years ago, the Baleno’s current iteration was introduced. A head-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, ABS, six airbags, EBD, a high-speed alert system, a floating-type 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and more are among its features.
Only a petrol engine is offered for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. A 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 88 horsepower and 113 Nm of peak torque powers the vehicle. There is a CNG variant of the Baleno in addition to the fuel version. The CNG variant has the same engine but produces a maximum torque of 99 Nm and 76 Bhp. While the CNG version of the hatchback only comes with a manual gearbox option, the petrol version comes with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission.
Both petrol and CNG variants of the Regal Edition are available from Maruti Suzuki. New Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchbacks range in price from Rs 6.66 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 9.83 lakh.
Last year, Maruti introduced a more powerful version of the Baleno with visual upgrades in response to the growing demand for crossovers and SUVs. The Fronx, the crossover variant of the Baleno, quickly gained popularity among consumers. Both a 1.0-liter Boosterjet and a 1.2-liter normally aspirated petrol engine are offered for the crossover. The Fronx’s SUV or crossover-like appearance was well-liked by consumers, and the sales numbers showed this.
Maruti sold more over 2 lakh Fronx units in just 17.3 months after it was introduced. Within ten months of its debut, it became the first Maruti model to reach the one-lakh sales milestone. The Fronx is priced between Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-studio).
