Ahead of their eagerly awaited presentation ceremony on November 26, Mahindra has unveiled the external design of its future electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and Be 6e. These two electric SUVs will be introduced by the automaker under the new Electric Origin SUV brand, which will comprise its future EV lineup.
While deliveries of the Be 6e and XEV 9e will begin in the latter quarter of FY2025, Mahindra has stated that it will debut the two new EVs by the beginning of next year.
Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6e exterior design: What the teaser video reveals
A new EV-specific platform will serve as the foundation for Mahindra’s future electric cars. Both of the electric SUVs will feature sleek, futuristic features. The BE 6e will have a front-mounted light system inspired by the XUV 3XO, while the XEV 9e will have a vertical lighting system and a connected LED lightbar. The new Mahindra EV emblem will be shown on the XEV 9e’s swooping bonnet and closed grille. The BE 6e electric SUV, in contrast to the EV 9e, will have a BE logo on the front rather than the Mahindra emblem. Bold character lines and huge wheel arches, which are anticipated to accommodate alloy wheels up to 18 inches in diameter, will be added to the sides of the XEV 9e and BE 6e.
