It was sleepless nights building Oyo that Ritesh Agarwal and his wife welcomed their first baby

Ritesh Agarwal, founder of Oyo, and his spouse Geetanshi Sood recently welcomed a boy into their family. Ritesh Aggarwal announced the arrival of the newest family member and added, “Our hearts are forever changed. Meet Aryan, our adorable little one.”

“I’ve never been happier than I am right now, even if the sleepless nights I spent creating OYO were only a warm-up for the sleepless nights of fatherhood!

He posted on X, “Here’s to the new chapter we’re writing together, filled with love, laughter, and the indescribable happiness that only a little one can bring. Here’s to us, my incredible wife Geet, the bundle of joy Aryan.”

A month before, the couple shared another touching social media message announcing their pregnancy. The founder of Oyo wrote about his love beginnings as a teenager eleven years ago in his post.

“Eleven years ago, as a young adolescent pursuing aspirations and attempting to persuade my family that I wanted to start my own business from the ground up, I met Geet. She was the one person that remained by my side no matter what. We’ve experienced so much together—the highs of joy and significant occasions, the lows of suffering and bereavement,” Ritesh Aggarwal wrote in his October X post.

The Oyo entrepreneur, who wed his longtime partner Geeta Sood, has had a busy year. His father died a few days after he was married when he fell from a high-rise building in Gurgaon.

Ritesh Agarwal’s father passed away in March of this year following a fall from a Gurgaon high-rise’s 20th story. A few months before to the occurrence, Agarwal and his wife were living in the apartment.

With sad hearts, my family and I would like to announce that on March 10, my father, Shri Ramesh Agarwal, passed away away. He was our source of strength and guidance. He was an inspiration to me and many others during his long life. Our family has suffered an enormous loss with his passing. Our family was supported and encouraged by my father’s kindness and love during our worst moments. His remarks will strike a deep in our hearts. Following the untimely death of his father, Ritesh Agarwal remarked, “We kindly ask that everyone respect our privacy during this time of grief.”
