Vivo is preparing to launch its V40 series in the Indian market, according to recent reports suggesting this series will follow the V30 lineup. The new series is expected to feature two models: the V40 and the V40 Pro. A report from 91Mobiles indicates that the Vivo V40 series is anticipated to be introduced in India in August and will come with a 5,500mAh battery. This series is touted to be the “slimmest phone” in its category. Both models are expected to have an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and water.
The new devices might also feature a 3D curved display and an Infinity Eye Camera module. The camera setup is likely to include Zeiss Optics, supporting multifocal portraits. Additionally, the report suggests that the phones might be designed with a cushioning structure to enhance durability. The Vivo V40 is expected to have the same specifications as its European variant.
In the European market, the Vivo V40 features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 4,500 nits. Together with an Adreno 720 GPU, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC powers the device. It has an internal storage capacity of up to 512GB UFS 2.2 and up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM.
The camera setup on the Vivo V40 includes a dual rear camera system with a 50MP primary camera featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It has a 50MP front camera for taking selfies. With a USB Type-C connection, the device’s 5,500mAh battery allows for 80W rapid charging. Dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS are among the connectivity choices available.
As Vivo prepares for the V40 series launch in India, it appears that the brand is focusing on delivering high-performance features in a sleek and durable design. The anticipated specifications and features suggest that the V40 series will offer a significant upgrade from the V30 lineup, providing users with enhanced display quality, powerful performance, and advanced camera capabilities.
