Didn’t the third installment of producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s Hera Pheri franchise almost go to hitmaker Anees Bazmee? Now that we know Farhad Samji is producing the movie. Anees abruptly leaves. What took place? When I contacted Anees, he was straightforward with me.

“I had multiple encounters with the producer Firoz Nadiadwala. He lacked a solid story, let alone a script. The notion he threw at me didn’t sit well with me; unhone jo mujhe idea bataya woh kuch jammee bahin. Anees acknowledges, “Maina na keh diya (I said no)”.

For Anees, a successful movie follows a straightforward pattern. “No hit, no script. That’s all there is to it. That is why I am taking my time to write my upcoming Shahid Kapoor-starring screenplay. By the end of this month, I’ll have it finished. After then, an announcement will be made.
