Two battery pack configurations are available for the Hyundai Creta Electric: a 42-kWh model with 135 horsepower and a driving range of up to 390 kilometres on a single charge, and a larger 51.4-kWh Long Range model with 171 horsepower and a range of up to 473 kilometres. In just 7.9 seconds, the Long Range version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
Hyundai explained that a 50-kW DC charger can charge the Creta Electric from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes, but the 11-kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger takes about four hours to charge the car from 10% to 100%.
The new Hyundai Creta Electric has a pixelated graphic front grille with an integrated charging port and a pixelated graphic front lower bumper, which are design cues reminiscent of its N-Line internal combustion engine predecessor.
In order to maximise aerodynamic efficiency and improve battery and powertrain cooling, the Creta Electric has Active Air Flaps (AAF) positioned strategically. The new Hyundai Creta Electric has low rolling resistance tires and 17-inch Aero alloy wheels for optimal stability and increased driving range.
Furthermore, this electric car may be used as a portable power source thanks to car-to-Load (V2L) technology, which enables users to power or charge external equipment both inside and outside the vehicle.
The newest Hyundai Creta Electric has i-Pedal technology, which removes the need for the brake pedal and enables drivers to control acceleration, deceleration, and full stops with just the accelerator pedal. It also includes a shift-by-wire mechanism to ensure seamless gear changes. Users can use their smartphone or smartwatch to lock, unlock, and start the automobile thanks to the “Digital Key” feature.
Four standard-range Hyundai Creta Electric models are available: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), and Premium. Two long-range models are also available: Smart (O) and Excellence. To accommodate a range of tastes, customers can select from eight monochromatic and two dual-tone colour schemes, including three matte finishes. One unique feature that distinguishes the Creta Electric from more conventional variants is the new Ocean Blue Metallic colour with a black roof.
With a starting price of Rs 17.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), the Hyundai Creta Electric is now offered at all authorised dealerships after making its premiere at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
