The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 will unveil its first runs this end of the week at the US Nationals.
Not more than a day or two ago we saw Lucid Motors put its EV on the drag strip, and now Ford has released video of its motivation constructed electric Mustang. It asserts that the Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 model hustled down the quarter-mile in simply 8.27 seconds at 168 miles for each hour.
The company intends to run the vehicle in open this end of the week at the U.S. Nationals, clashing in a demo against a gas-fueled Mustang Cobra Jet.
As per Ford Performance Motorsports worldwide chief Mark Rushbrook, “Since revealing the car, we’ve continued to fine-tune it and now know we’re just scratching the surface of what we may be able to achieve with this much electric horsepower in a drag racing setting.”
In an announcement, the group guaranteed this Mustang hit a pinnacle 1,502HP at the wheels during private testing.
That is fine and good obviously, yet once they get a couple of runs under their manufactured, it’s an ideal opportunity to make a proper spec so vehicles like this and the eCOPO Camaro can put on some real races.
