Prequel to the 1968 horror classic Rosemary’s Baby, the upcoming movie takes place in 1965 in New York City and investigates the events that took place in the notorious Bramford building prior to Rosemary (Mia Farrow) moving in.
According to the streamer, Garner plays Terry Gionoffrio, a driven young dancer who aspires to success and wealth in New York. But after she gets a terrible injury, an elderly couple in the opulent apartment building—played by Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally—takes her in.
“When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true,” the description reads. “However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A but in the Bramford itself.”
The cast of the Paramount+ movie is completed by Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean), and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).
A Platinum Dunes/Sunday Night production, Apartment 7A was created in collaboration with Paramount Pictures. Based on Ira Levin’s novel Rosemary’s Baby, the film is directed by Natalie Erika James of Relic. Christian White and Skylar James worked together on the screenplay. Along with producers John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, p.g.a., Michael Bay, Andrew Form, p.g.a., and Brad Fuller, executive producers Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg.
