BYD, a Chinese electric car maker, is getting ready to launch the Atto 2, its newest e-SUV, in the European market in January 2025.

The Atto 2 will be made in China at first, with plans to move production to BYD’s new plant in Hungary. The electric SUV will weigh 1,590 kg and have dimensions of 1,830 mm in width, 4,310 mm in length, and 1,675 mm in height.

Positioning and Battery

The Atto 2, which is currently on the market in places like India, will be marketed as a less expensive option to the Atto 3. According to the European WLTP cycle, the new model’s 42.4 kWh battery pack would have a range of more than 300 miles between charges.

Design and Features

The Atto 2 will feature an elevated nose and a boxy front end, which are hallmarks of BYD’s design language. It will include an LED headlamp configuration with built-in DRLs, which will give it a sleek, contemporary appearance. A fully digital 8.8-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity—including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more—will be featured inside the interior.

A panoramic sunroof, leather interior, a wireless charger, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and several charging connections are some of the other noteworthy features. The Atto 2 is well-positioned to make a significant impact on the European electric vehicle industry because to its sophisticated design and cutting-edge technologies.
