August 2024 will prove to be a significant month. Automobiles from Tata, Mahindra, Citroen, Maruti Suzuki, and Nissan will be launched in August.
Nissan X-Trail – August 1
The Nissan X-Trail, a fourth-generation vehicle, is the first vehicle on this list. This SUV was just formally introduced by the corporation to the Indian car industry. It will be delivered as a fully constructed unit (CBU), as has been announced. This flagship SUV will clear the path for Nissan’s next models.
There will be three colour possibilities for the new X-Trail. These are going to be Pearl White, Champagne Silver, and Diamond Black. A dark chrome grille, split LED headlights, and a contemporary exterior style will be standard on all three of the coloured automobiles.
The inside of the India-spec X-Trail will have seven seats and a dual-pane sunroof. In addition, there will be a 12.3-inch digital driver display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, and a wireless smartphone charging.
A 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine will power the SUV. It will be mated to a shift-by-wire CVT automatic transmission and generate 163 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. It will face off against vehicles such as the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Toyota Fortuner.
Citroen Basalt – August 7
The Citroen Basalt coupe SUV will next be introduced to the Indian auto market. According to the firm, the launch is slated for August 7 and the official unveiling is due for August 2. This new vehicle has a distinctive coupe SUV style and is based on the C3 Aircross.
With its unique alloy wheels, flap-style door handles, and sloping roofline, the Basalt will stand out from its sister. While the Basalt is anticipated to have improved features and equipment, it is anticipated to share many design cues with the C3 Aircross.
Tata Curvv Coupe – August 7
Today is the official unveiling of the Curvv Coupe SUV by Tata Motors. Additionally, it has confirmed that August 7 will mark the formal launch. The SUV Curvv Coupe will have a distinctive look with a rear end resembling a coupe. It will have new 17-inch alloy wheels and door handles that fit flush.
With its elegant split LED headlights and linked LED tail lamps, this SUV’s front end will resemble the facelift of its brother, the Nexon, almost perfectly. However, the sloping roofline will be most noticeable towards the back.
Regarding the inside, the Tata Curvv will have a luxurious, understated cabin similar to that of the Nexon. Depending on the model, it will have a 10.25- to 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system among its many amenities. Touch-sensitive climate controls and a panoramic sunroof are also included.
The ICE and electric powertrains will be offered for the Curvv Coupe SUV. The ICE versions will come with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that can produce 115 PS and 260 Nm of torque and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that can produce 125 PS and 225 Nm of torque. A 55 kWh battery pack is anticipated to be included with the electric version. With just one charge, it might have a range of up to 550 kilometres.
Thar Armada 5 Door – August 15
The five-door Mahindra Thar, also dubbed the Thar Armada, is one of the most anticipated vehicles that will make its formal appearance next month. Its official debut date of August 15 has been established.
With LED headlights and DRLs, the front fascia of this new model has been modified. It will also have a bigger grille with six slats.
A 360-degree camera, climate control with rear vents, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital cluster, connected car technology, and Level-2 ADAS are just a few of the features offered by the Thar Armada.
Regarding engine possibilities, the Armada will be equipped with the same 2.0-liter gasoline and 2.2-liter diesel engines that are present in the three-door Thar. It will be available with an automatic or manual gearbox. This model will go up against the Force Gurkha five-door, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Jeep Wrangler.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire – August End
Maruti Suzuki comes in last on this list as it gets ready to introduce the upgraded fourth-generation Dzire at the end of August. With a significant facelift, this new model will set itself apart from its hatchback sister, the Swift.
Redesigned headlights, a new front grille, bumper, and fog lamps, together with an updated rear with new LED tail lamps, are all features of the new 2024 Dzire. Inside, the Dzire will have a dashboard that resembles that of the future Swift, complete with a 360-degree camera and a touchscreen infotainment system.
It will be the first sedan in its class, according to reports, to boast a single-pane electric sunroof. A 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from Suzuki’s Z-Series will power the Dzire. It will come with an AMT transmission option in addition to a 5-speed manual. In the future, Maruti also intends to release a powerful hybrid version and a CNG version.
