Ariana Grande is set to unveil a deluxe edition of her hit 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine, as announced by Republic Records.
Titled Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, this new version will include six fresh tracks from the Oscar-nominated, Grammy-winning superstar. The original album, which debuted nearly a year ago, marked Grande’s sixth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured two chart-topping singles, “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” both of which reached No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Since the release of the Oscar-nominated film, Grande has experienced a whirlwind few months. She received her first Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Glinda in the film adaptation of the beloved stage musical, with the sequel, Wicked: For Good, set to premiere later this year.
At the 2025 Academy Awards, Grande and her co-star Cynthia Erivo kicked off the ceremony with a stunning performance. Grande began with a heartfelt rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” followed by Erivo’s performance of “Home” from The Wiz, culminating in a powerful segment from Wicked’s “Defying Gravity.”
If the stage musical is any indication, the sequel is expected to delve into much darker themes. “I’m still recovering,” Grande shared with The Hollywood Reporter.
Since the release of Wicked, Grande’s future endeavors in both acting and music have sparked considerable interest. “I would love that,” she expressed. “I feel fortunate to have so many beautiful artistic outlets, and we are lucky to explore various creative avenues. We wear many hats.”
