On August 8, Mercedes-Benz will introduce the CLE Cabriolet and the GLC 43 4Matic Coupe to the Indian market. The business has already released teasers of the models, revealing some design aspects, on its social media handles prior of that. The CLE Cabriolet’s elegant LED headlamps, which borrow styling ideas from the C-Class sedan, are the first thing to catch the eye. The car appears to have enormous wheels, wide wheel arches, and a low silhouette when viewed from the side.

However, the GLC 43 4Matic Coupe’s teaser photos show off its coupe-like roofline, AMG-specific grille with vertical slats, and sizable air intakes. Expect the GLC 43 Coupe to have forged 21-inch alloy wheels and contoured twin tailpipes, however our view of the teaser image is limited. Our market will receive both models as fully assembled units (CBU).

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Powertrain, Features

The CLE Cabriolet will be the company’s third convertible in India when it arrives. The CLE Cabriolet, which is billed as the largest vehicle in the class, is anticipated to be available in 300 4Matic or 450 4Matic configurations. If this is the case, the forthcoming convertible’s powertrain will be a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder or a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder petrol engine. In the global-spec CLE 300 4Matic, the smaller petrol engine produces 254 horsepower, while the larger engine produces 375 bhp in the CLE 450 4Matic.

A 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and 48V mild hybrid technology are also part of the CLE’s powertrain configuration. An 11.9-inch infotainment system in portrait mode, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, and a 2+2 seating arrangement are among the anticipated features. The cost may exceed one crore rupees (ex-showroom).

Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe: Features and Powertrain

Similar to the CLE, the GLC 43 Coupe will also pack a hybrid punch. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with mild hybrid technology will power the coupe. This configuration produces 421 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque in the global-spec vehicle, resulting in a stated 4.7-second 0–100 km/h acceleration time before peaking out at 250 km/h. All four wheels receive power distribution from a nine-speed automated transmission.

Since it will be an AMG, the inside will feature AMG-specific features including floor mats, pedals, a steering wheel, infotainment, and instrument displays.

The performance-oriented GLC vehicle will be introduced with the new GLC 43 Coupe. Similar to the CLE Cabriolet, this model is probably going to cost more than Rs 1 million (ex-showroom).
