A March 7 event has been teased for the launch of Xiaomi’s 14 Series in India

The Xiaomi 14 series made its global debut on February 25, one day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. Three variants are available: the Xiaomi 14 base model, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Ultra model was released a few days before to the global appearance, while the base and Pro variants were introduced in China in October 2023. The Xiaomi 14 smartphone is expected to debut in India on March 7, as the company has already promised. The Xiaomi 14 series’ release is being hinted at via an official teaser.

Xiaomi India released a teaser on X (previously Twitter) indicating that the “Xiaomi 14 series” will make its Indian debut on March 7. Which models would be part of the collection when it launched in India was not made clear in the post. One of the models anticipated to be released is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. We might also assume that the Pro variant will arrive in India alongside the Xiaomi 14, considering the previous Xiaomi 13 Ultra model was not released there.

It is anticipated that the specifications of the Xiaomi 14 handsets in India will be comparable to those of their Chinese counterparts. Thus, it’s possible that the 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED micro-curved display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 50-megapixel quad rear camera unit, 32-megapixel front camera sensor, 5,300mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, and IP68 certification will be included in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra when it launches in the nation.

China saw the release of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in white, blue, and black colorways. The 12GB + 256GB model launched at CNY 6,499 (about Rs. 74,800), while the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants cost CNY 6,999 (about Rs. 80,600) and CNY 7,799 (about Rs. 89,800), respectively. A Titanium Special Edition was also unveiled, with a price tag of CNY 8,799 (about Rs. 1,01,300) for 16GB + 1TB.

The new HyperOS from Xiaomi will also be pre-installed on the Indian version of the Xiaomi 14 devices. The user interface was only made available in India by the company. The Xiaomi 13 Pro was among the first models to receive a reliable OS version upgrade.
