US accommodation store chain 7-Eleven is in converses with enter India in partnership with Kishore Biyani’s Future Group, Economic Times detailed.
US-based 7-Eleven is the world’s biggest accommodation store chain with 66,000 stores crosswise over 17 nations.
The deal may incorporate Future Group working as a master franchisee for the ‘small format’ accommodation stores, as indicated by the report.
Future Group works 1,444 stores in India under the brand name ‘Easy Day’, ‘Heritage Retail’ and Nilgiri’s. Most of its stores are huge format.
7-Eleven’s parent is Japan’s Seven and i Group, which had over $100 billion in deals a year ago. Its entrance into India will probably intensify competition among new franchises in the Indian retail part, which has been commanded by the unorganised ‘kirana’ shops. New entrants incorporate such brands as Twenty Four Seven and In and Out, with which 7-Eleven is probably going to contend.
