Kia unveiled the refreshed version of its EV6 electric crossover at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking another milestone for the brand in India. Kia India also announced that bookings for the updated EV6 start today, with the official launch scheduled by March this year. This facelifted model is a follow-up to Kia’s first electric vehicle offering in the Indian market.

Speaking at the event, Kia India’s MD and CEO, Gwanggu Lee, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. He remarked, “Since its debut, the EV6 has earned widespread recognition, solidifying its global appeal. With the new EV6, we aim to redefine standards in electric mobility, showcasing cutting-edge advancements.” He also emphasized Kia’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality, adding that unveiling the EV6 at this expo is a step toward offering eco-conscious, next-gen technology to Indian consumers.

The facelifted Kia EV6 boasts an impressive lineup of features. It now includes 27 Level 2 ADAS functionalities, such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) for city, pedestrian, cyclist, junction turning, lane change, and evasive steering, as well as Lane Follow Assist (LFA). These advanced safety features reaffirm Kia’s focus on driver assistance and road safety.

Design-wise, the new EV6 retains its premium, sporty aesthetic but incorporates subtle yet impactful upgrades. The front fascia now sports a sharper, more dynamic appearance, with bold details and no chrome elements on the bumper. Updates include striking 19-inch glossy alloy wheels, connected DRLs with Star Map illumination, and star-map-inspired LED rear combo lights.

Inside, the cabin continues to offer a spacious and luxurious feel, enhanced by minor refinements. Kia has added features like a fingerprint sensor for keyless driver recognition, an upgraded head-up display (HUD), and a digital rear-view mirror. The EV6 also retains its 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays—one for infotainment and another for the digital instrument cluster—alongside wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Under the hood, the EV6 now houses a larger 84 kWh battery, replacing the previous 77.4 kWh pack. This upgrade boosts the driving range to over 650 km. Powered by an electric motor delivering 325 PS and 605 Nm of torque, the EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger. With these improvements, the EV6 facelift is expected to come with a price increase.
