Serena Sundells led No. 13 Kansas State to its biggest victory ever on Thursday night, defeating South Carolina Upstate 110-24, with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high 13 assists.

K-State was topping its 78-point victory over Arkansas Pine Bluff (115-37) nearly exactly 22 years ago, while Sundell was recording the first triple-double for the Wildcats since Shalee Lehning’s fifth 15 years prior.

The Spartans had more turnovers (32) than points, and the Wildcats had more field goals (28) than USC Upstate.

Taryn Sides scored 23 points for the Wildcats (9-1) and made seven 3-pointers, which were career highs. Kennedy Taylor scored 11, Eliza Maupin scored 15, and Temira Poindexter scored 17. Ayoka Lee, who shattered the school lifetime scoring mark in the previous game, was not present for the Wildcats.

Kansas State led 50-13 at the half after scoring the first 25 points of the match. The Wildcats scored the game’s final 24 points and the first 16 of the third quarter.

The Wildcats made 21 of 28 foul line attempts, 13 of 28 3-pointers, and a 58% shooting percentage.

At No. 20 Iowa State on Tuesday, the Spartans (2–9) fell down by 57 points, led by seven points from Ava Miller. The bench scored 14 points, while the starters scored 10. USC Upstate scored two points in the first and fourth quarters and shot 21% with one three-pointer.

On Sunday, Kansas State will play Texas A&M.
