On Tuesday, the Honour X9c was introduced in Malaysia. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM power the smartphone. A 6,600mAh battery that supports 66W cable charging powers it. Honour claims that the phone has a 2 m drop resistance, an IP65M dust and water resistant rating, and 360 degrees of water resistance. The Honour X9c has a 108-megapixel dual rear camera set with OIS support. The Honour X9b, which debuted in India in February of this year, is replaced by this smartphone.

In Malaysia, the Honour X9c’s 12GB + 256GB model costs MYR 1,499 (about Rs. 28,700), while the 12GB + 512GB model costs MYR 1,699 (about Rs. 32,500). Although the price has not been disclosed, it is also advertised on the global website in an 8GB + 256GB option. Jade Cyan, Titanium Black, and Titanium Purple are the three colour options available for the phone.

The Honour X9c has a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,224 x 2,700 pixel) AMOLED screen with eye protection features, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a typical brightness of 4,000 nits. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 CPU, an Adreno A710 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage power the phone. It comes with MagicOS 8.0, which is based on Android 14.
For optics, the Honor X9c carries a 108-megapixel primary rear sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) alongside a 5-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. There’s a 16-megapixel sensor up front for selfies. The handset is built to withstand up to a 2m drop. It also has an IP65M rating for dust and 360-degree water resistance. The M-rating, the company explained, stands for “the ability to resist water exposure even while in motion.”
