OnePlus OxygenOS 15 Brings Circle to iPhone Search and Share: What’s New

China’s OnePlus has released its OxygenOS 15 smartphone UI, which is based on Android 15. Google’s gesture-based Circle to Search and a number of new AI capabilities driven by Google Gemini AI models are included in the updated operating system. The new OxygenOS 15 will also feature new icons, a new lock screen design, system-wide aesthetic enhancements, and smoother transitions with parallel processing capability.

Artificial Intelligence

Google and OnePlus have partnered to enable the gesture-based Circle to Search function on a few OnePlus smartphones running OxygenOS 15.

Google Gemini AI models have been used by OnePlus to introduce new AI-powered capabilities, such as “Intelligent Search,” which facilitates finding precise answers in notes, files, or settings. AI Notes, which helps with writing, AI Reply, which suggests text replies in messaging apps, and other noteworthy Gemini-powered AI features are also included.

Google has integrated its proprietary AI tools for image editing and photography in addition to Gemini-powered AI skills. Users will be able to enhance cropped or low-resolution photos to nearly 4K quality with a new AI Detail Boost tool.

The OnePlus devices’ new file-sharing feature will make exchanging files with an iPhone easier.

Design and Animation

OxygenOS 15 now boasts a new parallel processing method, according to OnePlus, which will make app switching more seamless and jitter-free. OnePlus has also been able to reduce system storage by eliminating system redundancies thanks to this technology.

A new boot animation, updated icons, additional shelf card options, and new fingerprint unlock style options are just a few of the design enhancements that OxygenOS 15 offers.

OnePlus OxygenOS 15: Availability

According to OnePlus, OxygenOS 15’s open beta version will begin testing on the OnePlus 12 smartphone on October 30. By the end of November, the enhancements will formally begin to be implemented on OnePlus devices that qualify.
