Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new Scorpio Classic Boss Edition as part of its 2024 festive season offerings, bringing a fresh twist to its popular Scorpio lineup. This special edition stands out with dark chrome accents on the exterior and a sleek black seat upholstery inside, offering a distinct contrast to the standard version. While the exact price of the Boss Edition hasn’t been revealed yet, it is expected to come at a slight premium compared to the regular model, which ranges from Rs. 13.6 to 17.4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Inside the cabin, the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition retains the two-tone black and beige dashboard but adds an all-black seat setup, giving it a more upscale and sporty look. It also comes loaded with features, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and automatic climate control. The safety features remain intact, with front airbags, reverse parking sensors, and a camera adding to the overall package.

On the exterior, the Boss Edition gets dark chrome touches on the grille, headlamps, fog lamps, door handles, and tail lamps, which further enhance its premium appeal. The edition also includes carbon fiber accents on the wing mirrors, a dark chrome hood scoop, a modified front bumper, dark chrome details on the rear quarter glass and turn indicators, as well as a rain visor for added style.

Mechanically, the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition remains unchanged, powered by the reliable 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This engine delivers 132 PS of power and 300 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The Boss Edition, like the regular Classic, is built on a robust ladder-frame chassis, preserving the ruggedness that Scorpio is known for.

For over two decades, the Mahindra Scorpio has been a staple in the Indian automotive market, and the Classic version is an evolution of the previous generation. The combined success of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N has significantly contributed to Mahindra’s strong monthly sales figures in India. Looking ahead, Mahindra is set to expand its electric vehicle portfolio, with upcoming models from its BE and XUV.e series, signaling its commitment to the future of mobility in the country.
