Earlier in the year, Tecno unveiled the Camon 30 and 30 Pro. The Pro variant, which was equipped with the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor, was notable for its 5G capabilities. By comparison, the regular version, which made use of the Helio G99 Ultimate SoC, only supported 4G. Later, the Camon 30S Pro, a 4G version of the Pro model with the Helio G100 chip, was introduced by Tecno.

The Tecno Camon 30S, a 4G smartphone with the G100 chip, has now been added to the mix and shares features with the 30S Pro. Configurations of 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 8/256GB are available.

Display and Design Features

Notable upgrades included an IP certification and a curved display with the S Pro. With a curved 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED screen that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, the Camon 30S continues this trend. This display uses 2,160Hz PWM dimming to improve visuals and can reach a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits in high brightness mode.

The panel is a 10-bit type that encompasses the whole colour space of DCI-P3. It has Gorilla Glass protection for durability, though it’s unclear which version is which. The phone’s IP53 rating for water and dust resistance means that you may use the touchscreen even if your fingers are wet.

Camera Specifications

A 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with a 1/1.656-inch sensor and OIS capability is located on the back. It comes with a 2MP depth sensor and a dual-LED flash for better shots in different lighting circumstances. In contrast to the 30S Pro’s increased resolution, the front-facing camera has a smaller 13MP sensor but still includes a dual-LED flash.

Audio and Battery Details

This variant includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for music lovers.

The battery’s 5,000mAh capacity is maintained, but its maximum charging speed is now limited to 33W, which is less than the quicker charging speeds of earlier models (the original Camon 30 could support up to 70W).

Colour Variants and Availability

The capacity of this phone to change colour in the presence of sunshine is one of its distinctive features; this is most evident in its Blue variant, which changes from light purple to dark blue in colour. Nebula Violet (which appears more purple in dim light), Celestial Black, and Dawn Gold are additional colours that are offered. The 8GB/256GB edition of the Tecno Camon 30S costs PKR 60,000 (about Rs 18,150) in Pakistan.

The Tecno Camon 30S is available in every colour listed above, with the exception of the blue version.
