BMW Motorrad India has officially announced the pricing of its new electric scooter, the BMW CE 02, following the earlier launch of its larger counterpart, the CE 04. The CE 02 comes with an introductory price of ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom), and reservations for the electric scooter are now open across authorized dealerships in India. It is expected that customer deliveries will start soon.

The BMW CE 02 is powered by a 3.9 kWh battery pack paired with an air-cooled synchronous electric motor, offering an impressive claimed range of 108 km on a single charge. Designed as a premium offering, the scooter is packed with advanced electronic features. It can reach a top speed of 95 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in just three seconds, making it a quick and agile option for urban commuting.

The electric scooter comes with a 0.9 kW charger as standard, which takes around five hours and twelve minutes to fully charge the battery. For those seeking faster charging, a 1.5 kW charger is available, reducing the charging time to three hours and thirty minutes. Positioned below the CE 04 in BMW’s lineup, the CE 02 shares some design elements with its larger sibling, featuring minimalistic bodywork and a futuristic appearance.

In India, the BMW CE 02 is offered in two color options: Cosmic Black and Cosmic Black 2. Built on a robust double-loop steel frame, the scooter’s suspension system includes upside-down forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, the CE 02 is equipped with a 239 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, supported by a single-channel ABS system.

Riding on 14-inch wheels, the CE 02 is available with an optional Highline package, which adds several premium features such as heated grips, a triple-tone seat, gold anodized forks, distinct finishes, a phone holder, a 1.5 kW quick charging, and an extra “Flash” ride mode. Standard features on the scooter include an all-LED lighting setup, a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, reverse mode, a Type-C charging port, keyless ignition, and two ride modes – “Flow” and “Surf.”

In terms of safety and rider assistance, the CE 02 is equipped with advanced systems like stability control, an anti-theft alarm, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), and Recuperation Stability Control (RSC). These features, combined with its modern design and performance, make the BMW CE 02 a strong contender in the premium electric scooter market.
