The rifle shooters fired first, and after 30 shots apiece, Gautami Bhanot and Ajay Malik finished third out of 34 couples with a cumulative score of 628.9.
Their performance earned them a bronze medal match, which they won 17–9 against the Croatian duo of Anamarija Turk and Darko Tomasevic, who were ranked fourth.
China defeated France in the championship match to win its first gold medal of the event.
With a score of 628.1, the second Indian duo, Abhinav Shaw and Shambhavi Kshirsagar, came in sixth place overall.
Both Indian pairs qualified for the mixed pistol event, where they placed third and fourth, respectively, to square off for bronze.
After a 16–8 victory, Lakshita and Parmod defeated Kanishka Dagar and Mukesh Nelavali.
Ukraine took home the silver, and Germany went on to capture the gold.
