2025 is going to be a significant year for Maruti Suzuki, the largest automobile manufacturer in the nation. The business intends to introduce three highly significant vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki eVX: Brand’s first all-electric car
The eVX all-electric SUV will be Maruti Suzuki’s first and most significant vehicle to be released in 2019. It will be constructed on a brand-new electric platform that was created in association with Suzuki’s international partners.
It will have rotary driving dials, a floating touchscreen, a closed front grille, and LED headlamps. In addition, a sizable infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, perforated leatherette upholstery, and a 360-degree camera are included.
The EV will include disc brakes on all wheels, rear handles located in the C-pillar, and maybe dual-motor AWD setups.
Fast charging capabilities are also anticipated for the Maruti Suzuki eVX, enabling it to charge to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes. It will produce about 138 horsepower. eVX is anticipated to be released by Maruti by early 2025.
Regarding cost, it will begin at approximately Rs 25 lakh. This electric SUV will go up against vehicles like the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and Tata Nexon EV. It will compete with the soon-to-be Hyundai Creta EV as well.
Seven-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
The Grand Vitara with seven seats will be Maruti Suzuki’s other significant 2025 launch. The lucrative mid-sized SUV sector has already seen a lot of interest in the current Grand Vitara. But Maruti’s current goal is to compete in the three-row, seven-seat SUV market.
The Grand Vitara seven-seater, codenamed Y17, is the company’s response to the demands of larger families and people looking for greater versatility and capacity. The existing 5-seater Grand Vitara and the 7-seater version will share the same base.
It will, however, be larger in order to fit the third row. It is expected to carry over the same 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine with mild hybrid technology and 1.5-liter diesel engine options as the present Grand Vitara. There are rumours that Maruti will release a strong-hybrid version of this bigger vehicle.
The seven-seat Grand Vitara’s interior will be roomy and luxurious. Wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and Maruti’s SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system are anticipated features of the SUV. To guarantee a safe driving experience, safety features will include several airbags, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
In 2025, the seven-seater Grand Vitara is anticipated to go on sale. The precise dates are still unknown. Regarding the cost, the base model is anticipated to start at about Rs 16 lakh, while the top-spec version will cost up to Rs 22 lakh. Maruti intends to take on well-known seven-seater SUVs such as the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari with this introduction.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift
The Fronx Facelift is the third significant release in Maruti Suzuki’s NEXA portfolio for 2024. Thanks to its distinctive look, the crossover SUV Fronx has gained a lot of popularity since its premiere in India. On the other hand, the business is now developing its facelift.
The integration of ADAS and hybrid technologies will be the primary features of this forthcoming model. A new alloy wheel design, updated headlamps, and a refurbished front grille are among the exterior changes that the Fronx Facelift will get.
As explained earlier, the business plans to release a brand-new 1.2-liter petrol-hybrid engine. This technology will deliver more power in addition to increasing fuel efficiency (by about 22–24 km/l). It is anticipated that the new engine will generate approximately 100 horsepower when mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
It will also have advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which include functions like adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance. The Fronx Facelift will go on sale in the first half of 2025, according to Maruti Suzuki. The starting price is anticipated to be Rs 8 lakh.
