The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) administrators declared on Wednesday that Season 11 will start on October 18 of this year. The world’s largest kabaddi league, the Pro Kabaddi League, will enter a new phase in October after concluding its ten seasons with success earlier this year.
The Pro Kabaddi League will revert to a three-city caravan structure in season 11. The 2024 edition will start on October 18 at Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium and move to Noida Indoor Stadium for the second leg starting on November 10. Beginning on December 3, the third leg will be played at Pune’s Balewadi Badminton Stadium.
The Playoffs’ dates and location will be revealed later.
League Commissioner Anupam Goswami explained of the PKL Season 11 dates,“We are delighted to announce the start date and venues for PKL Season 11. After successfully completing 10 seasons, PKL Season 11 will mark a new milestone in the continued rise of the league. This would strengthen the growth of Kabaddi in India and elsewhere around the world.”
Eight players sold for more than INR 1 crore at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 Auction, which took place in Mumbai on August 15–16, 2024, setting a new record for the league.
The PKL is now among the most prosperous sports leagues in India thanks to the efforts of Mashal Sports and Disney Star. The Pro Kabaddi League has changed the perception of India’s native sport of Kabaddi and its players both domestically and internationally. Several countries that play Kabaddi have also improved their domestic Kabaddi programs after observing the involvement of numerous players in the PKL.
