A trailer for Win or Lose has been released.
A brand-new Pixar original series called Win or Lose is scheduled to debut onDisney+ later this year. A middle school softball team is followed throughout the series as they get ready for a major championship game.
What is the Disney+ release date for Win or Lose?
Win or Lose, which debuted at D23 on Friday, August 9, 2024, will debut exclusively on Disney+ on December 6, 2024.
“Directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, the new series reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—as they prepare for a championship softball game,” the synopsis reads. “Will Forte lends his voice to the coach.”
Milan Ray and Rosa Salazar are among the series’ voice actors in addition to Forte.
Pete Docter of Pixar previously explained about Win or Lose, via ComicBook, “It’s not so much about softball as it is a comedy about love, rivalry, and the challenges we all face in our struggles to win at life.”
There were other new animated Disney+ shows unveiled on Friday at D23 besides Win or Lose. Disney also revealed that Dream Productions, an Inside Out spin-off, will debut in 2025. Paula Pell will play dream director Paula Persimmon in the production, which will take place inside Riley’s head. The remaining voice actors are Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, and Richard Ayoade.
At D23, Pixar also revealed that The Incredibles 3 and an original film named Hoppers are now in development.
