The Tata Curvv EV, Tata Motors’ first SUV-coupe, has been revealed, with offline bookings already available at select dealerships. With the official launch scheduled for tomorrow, Tata Motors has released several teasers showcasing the car’s design and features. Recently, images of the Tata Curvv EV from a dealership have surfaced, providing a closer look at the vehicle.
Externally, the Curvv EV retains the blue color seen during its initial unveiling. It features a sloping roofline characteristic of coupe models, a blanked-off front grille, headlights inspired by the Tata Harrier, and LED DRLs similar to those on the Tata Nexon EV. The side profile reveals 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels and flush door handles. Additional videos on the internet have highlighted several features in action, including a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display with a user interface similar to the Nexon EV and Punch EV. The vehicle also boasts a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and an electric tailgate.
Inside, the Curvv EV includes ventilated seats and a touch-enabled AC panel. The EV shares the drive mode selector and automatic gear shifter with the Nexon EV. Safety features are comprehensive, featuring six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and forward collision warning.
Though Tata Motors has yet to disclose the specifics of the electric powertrain, the Curvv EV is based on the Acti.ev platform, promising a range exceeding 500 km. It is expected to come with two battery pack options and will likely include V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) functionalities, similar to the smaller Tata Nexon EV.
Anticipated to be priced starting at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Curvv EV will serve as Tata Motors’ flagship electric vehicle for the time being. It is set to compete with the MG ZS EV, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, and the Maruti eVX.
