It was quite the interesting moviegoing month last month. Globally, franchise films dominated the box office, from Deadpool & Wolverine to Inside Out 2. The schedule is jam-packed with highly anticipated films as we begin a brand-new month. Borderlands, the highly anticipated live-action version of the well-known video games, is included in the list. In the meantime, the newest entry in the Alien series, Alien: Romulus, is about to hit theatres.
Borderlands
A live-action movie based on the video game series, Borderlands stars Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, Ariana Greenblatt, and other well-known video game characters in a sci-fi action comedy. The story of Eli Roth’s film centres on Lilith and her group as they fight bandits and extraterrestrial monsters throughout the dystopian planet of Pandora.

It Ends with Us
It Ends with Us, a film directed by Justin Baldoni, is based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel of the same name. The film, starring Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, and others, centres on a lady who falls in love with a man immediately after graduating from college. But things get complicated when her first love makes a comeback.

Alien: Romulus
This month marks the release of Alien: Romulus, the seventh installment in the Alien saga. Fede Alvarez is the director of the picture, which stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, and more. The story takes place in between the events of the Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) movies. The movie centres on a group of space colonists who discover a terrible extraterrestrial life form.

The Crow
The planned superhero film starring Bill Skarsgard is based on James O’Barr’s 1989 comic book series of the same name. In the movie, a gang kills both Eric Draven, a musician, and his fiancée. When he rises again, he gets his comeuppance. Brandon Bruce Lee, the son of Bruce Lee, tragically passed suddenly after suffering catastrophic injuries from a malfunctioning pistol. He portrayed the role of Eric.
